The Jean Varda Project

I live on Varda's old ferryboat, the Vallejo, in Sausaltio. My interest in Varda began in 1999 when I started asking about the boat's history. So many incredible stories about Varda charmed me, I couldn't believe there wasn't more to the man. Finding examples of his artwork, however, proved to be more difficult. My curiosity has lead me to a wonderful adventure - sleuthing out the details of Varda's life.

I hope you will join me on Jan 9th 2004 at the Bay Model in Sausalito to hear some of what I have discovered about this rare and timeless individual.
